A sign things will be okay

This morning I was sitting in the Dunkin’ donuts drive thru ordering my usual, and when I got to the window to pay, I was told the person in front of me paid for my order and handed me one of Linc’s cards.

It made me smile, especially seeing the blue jay and how that’s my husbands favorite bird.

What’s crazy though is the night before I sat down with my mom and explained “why do I feel like i’m always getting hit with a financial burden when I work so hard and give the most I can” Seriously.

We’re currently dealing with a $15,000 engine replacement on a car we purchased that was still under warranty.

The vehicle was stolen two days after we made the second car payment. We were supposed to do a simple test to check the oil levels 3 times due to it consuming oil, and because of the theft the test never got completed. The dealership had the vehicle in their possession and had every opportunity to start the test which they acknowledged but failed to do or remind us that the test was still open and needed to be completed. 2 days before our warranty expired the vehicle lost oil again, and only then at that moment they told us we needed to complete the oil consumption test. At this point the warranty now expired by 2 days and the dealership determined it needs a whole new engine.

I have tried countless times to explain to the dealership that had they done the test first when they had it in their procession or explained it was still required when we brought the vehicle back for an engine light, the simple oil readings would have been completed. This one simple mistake on both parties is costing us $15,000 on a car that we just purchased.. being a huge financial burden.

My husband and also just returned back to work after maternity, something I don’t get covered by the state because I work independently. Now we’re left driving a car to and from work that’s going to give up on us at any moment.

I felt like things were never going to get better financially. That was until this morning I felt like I got a sign from Linc that things are going to be Okay🖤 Something as simple as my breakfast being paid for.

I am and artist, and I would love to host an event to raise funds to pay it forward.

This morning was a sign I needed terribly, so thank you for paying it forward for me
